BAR HK is short for the Board of Airline Representatives in Hong Kong. The group represents, promotes and protects the common interests of its members in Hong Kong. It provides a forum for discussion of problems and matters of interest to the international civil aviation industry in Hong Kong. It assists its members to formulate policies and procedures for local implementation on matters of common interest. It also makes, on behalf of its members, representations on matters of common concern to its members and to the aviation industry, to any appropriate organisation or body in Hong Kong.
BAR HK's goal is to improve the commercial and operational conditions for airlines active in Hong Kong. To reach this goal, BAR HK is involved in all important aeropolitical discussions and decisions, changes in legislation and charges, security issues and other related matters.
BAR HK is highly recognised as the major institution of all airlines, which are active in the Hong Kong market.
